The early years of Casey's life, her information about her family, as well as her educational background are her private matter which is why we don't know much about the details. They declined due to time constraints and the fact that Casey Nezhoda was responsible for taking care of their kids while Rene concentrated on his business. They were offered another opportunity to be on the show during the fourth season as regular cast members and performed as buyers for in the initial six seasons, before they joined the cast as main members in the next season.
